The new Samsung Galaxy Buds + will take the true wireless earphone legacy a step further forward.
Samsung is ready to renew its true wireless line-up with the Samsung Galaxy Buds +, the new generation of true wireless headphones of the South Korean giant that will officially replace the amazing Galaxy Buds as the successor.
Samsung will bundle this Galaxy Buds + with the upcoming Galaxy S 20 phones when pre-ordered.
We had already noticed through a large number of leaks and rumors that had anticipated its design, these should not differ much from the previous generation except for the presence of a small button on the case that also acts as a charging station.
The new Samsung Galaxy Buds + are a nice step forward
Coming with an almost unchanged dimension – 17.5 x 19.2 x 22.5 mm – the new Galaxy Buds + gains a bit in terms of weight. It goes from 5.6 to 6.3 grams, all due to the presence of a larger battery.
The previous Galaxy Buds had a battery of 58 mAh, the new earbuds grow to 85 mAh. This allows you to double the playback time of the headphones which now reach 11 hours of playtime (7.5 hours on-call), while the charging case also now reaches 22 hours of battery backup thanks to the new 270 mAh battery.
The Galaxy Buds + comes with improved fast charging. Now it takes just 3 minutes to enjoy 60 minutes of listening. That means the time of a shower is enough to be able to have several hours of listening.
Connectivity with the smartphone is also guaranteed this time by a Bluetooth v5.0, although there is now the possibility of pairing to multiple devices simultaneously. Obviously, the noise reduction remains, while the speakers now have a woofer and a tweeter – we expect a really important audio quality.
The touch allows you to control audio playback – play/pause, volume, and track change -, as well as Spotify. Very interesting to note there is full support for both Android and iOS and the IPX2 certification.
Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Buds + will be available in black, white, blue and red at a price of 149 dollars, or Rs.10k (Approx). We are confident that we will have a way to discover something more during the Samsung Unpacked mega event on 11 February 2020.
