A few weeks ago we told you that Redmi Note 8 series may have a new variant which would be dubbed as Redmi Note 8T and now it seems to be very real. It is a new variant that with the name of Redmi Note 8T really has very few new things to offer with respect to the other mobiles of the series.
In fact, according to what the stores that already have it in pre-sale have shown, the only difference between the Redmi Note 8T and the normal Redmi Note 8 is that the “T” variant has NFC. So, if you expected to see a mobile-powered thanks to the “T”, as OnePlus has done with its OnePlus 7T, we are sorry to disappoint you. Here we present the real images that have been filtered from the device, which confirm its existence and all the above said.
NFC is the only the new feature
The new Redmi Note 8T will come in a white box that, at the back, confirms that the device will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the other hand, according to the photos taken to the device, its screen will be 6.3 inches, it will have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the screen and on the back and will have a waterdrop shaped notch.
In addition, it is confirmed that it will have a quad rear camera with 48 MP main sensor and wide-angle and macro sensors. Its battery will be 4000 mAh with a fast charging of 18 W. It will have a multifunctional NFC and will equip a Snapdragon 665 AIE as a processor. In short, this new Redmi device has the same specifications as the Redmi Note 8, but with NFC as a new feature.
Actually, this Redmi Note 8T is the global version of the Redmi Note 8, which Xiaomi preferred to sell only in China and India officially. So, it shouldn’t surprise us that it practically doesn’t offer anything new.
Redmi Note 8T Price
Although this mobile has not yet been officially presented, several stores already have it for sale. For example, it is already available in Giztop to pre-buy for $ 199 (Rs. 14,098). We do not have any official regarding the launch of the device in India.
