The Realme 6 series phones are designed to provide a high-end experience, even without being, for an affordable price. Therefore, we see that both phones have very good specs, without any that stand out or decline significantly from the rest. Obviously, the Realme 6 Pro with more cameras and a better processor is the best in the series, but the Realme 6 also has a lot to say.

90 Hz screens and a premium design

Both the Realme 6 and the Realme 6 Pro arrive with a fairly modern design that we have already seen in some current high-end, such as the Xiaomi Mi 10 or the Realme X50 Pro 5G. That is – very thin bezels, the camera perforated in a corner housed under punch hole, a huge screen with Full HD + resolution that covers 90.5% of the front and a module in the back where the different sensors of the camera are aligned vertically.

Adding to all these is 90 Hz refresh rate (something unusual in the mid-range, but that is already setting a trend), we are seeing two luxury phones. With this refresh rate, it is intended to provide the user with greater fluidity and definition in moving images, especially in games. While these types of screens consume more energy, Realme has clarified that Realme 6 can intelligently switch between 90 Hz and 60 Hz for better battery life.

Focused on gaming by MediaTek and Qualcomm

One of the big differences between Realme 6 and its Pro version is in the processor. On the one hand, Realme 6 is cheaper, since it uses a MediaTek processor: the Helio G90T. In contrast, the Realme 6 Pro justifies its higher price with the use of a Qualcomm processor: the Snapdragon 720G. The “G” in both processors indicates that they are designed to provide an exceptional gaming experience.

Although we cannot say for sure that one processor is better than another, historically Snapdragon processors have shown better performance and better energy efficiency than MediaTek. So, that is something to consider before buying one or the other. For the rest, we did not find many differences in hardware. Both phones come with a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage (expandable with microSD). Of course, the cheapest variant of Realme 6 has 4 GB of RAM and, that of Realme 6 Pro, 6 GB of RAM.

Realme 6 and 6 pro cameras

Both devices have the main sensor in their 64 MP rear camera, which will ensure good photos in different conditions. In the case of Realme 6, this additionally incorporates an 8 MP wide-angle sensor with 119 degree field of view, a 2 MP monochrome sensor to improve the quality of black and white photographs, and a 2 MP macro sensor to focus targets at 4 cm. The Realme 6 Pro uses the same camera settings but changes the monochrome sensor to a 12 MP telephoto lens that adds a 2x optical zoom and a 20x hybrid to the camera. By the way, both phones have EIS stabilization for video and slow-motion recording at 120 FPS.

On the front, the Realme 6 selfie camera is 16 MP and features HDR, beautification with AI, panoramic selfies and portrait mode. The Realme 6 Pro selfie camera offers the same, but, in addition to the 16 MP sensor, it also has a wide-angle 8 MP sensor. Therefore, there is no doubt that Realme 6 Pro is a little better in the photographic section than Realme 6.

4300 mAh and 4G battery to ensure excellent battery

Realme has not wanted to make the leap to 5G with this series, which may disappoint some. However, seeing it from the positive point of view, with the 4G the mobile phone battery lasts longer, especially if they have a capacity of 4300 mAh like these Realme 6. In addition, to allow such low prices, Realme’s decision is logical of dispensing with 5G in this series.

The good news is that both phones offer a fast charging of 30 W that allows these mobile phones to be charged from 0 to 100% in just 60 minutes. In addition, they come with Android 10 and their respective personalization layer, Realme UI. As for extra features, the Realme 6 Pro has supralline speakers and supports Dolby Atmos for impressive sound quality.
