POCO X2 : Key Specs, Price and Everything we know so far

In 2018 Xiaomi Poco F1 set the world on fire, showing the world what an affordable flagship is all about. It redefined the affordable flagship segment with its price and specifications like the Flagship level CPU, Sony sensor cameras which were never seen on any phone costing less than $300. The success party of Poco was not yet done even in 2019 and the company surprisingly did not launch a single phone of the offering last year.

 Poco is Alive

Finally, after a long and disappointing 2019 Pocophone is again back and this time as an independent brand, the Poco madness is set to continue for the Indian market.

The first phone to come from the Poco this year is said to be the Poco X2, which in all likelihood is going to be another affordable proposition.

The Xiaomi less Poco is all set to launch its first smartphone in India on 4th February as an independent brand named as the POCO X2. Recently, an image (which seems official) was seen in which the first look of the phone was revealed and it almost confirmed all the previous rumors and leaks.

The POCO X2 will be a clone of the Redmi K30. However, still, there are some things which are left to be confirmed and that is why here to reveal all its specifications.

The POCO X2: Key Specs

Unlike the Poco F1, the Poco X2 will not have the top of the line specs. It will be a mid-range phone with pretty decent features. The phone will not have flagship-like specs as that is reserved for the successor of Poco F1. The company has already confirmed that Poco X2 is not a Poco F1 successor. It will be a rebadged version of the Redmi K30 4G.

It will have the same Redmi design with the only difference that instead of having the Redmi logo on the back, it will have the POCO logo. Another difference we see between the Redmi K30 and the POCO X2 is in its software.

Both phones have MIUI 11 based on Android 10, but the POCO X2 will use the POCO Launcher instead of the MIUI launcher that all Xiaomi and Redmi use.

By what we have seen so far it is in all likelihood that Poco X2 will come as a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 4G. India’s BIS certification website shows that it has the same model number listed as the Redmi K30 4G.

Now if that turns out to be indeed true – which is looking like – then you will see the phone with a pill-shaped punch-hole cutout housing two selfie cameras. On the back, the Redmi K30 series also sports a vertically aligned rear camera this design element can be highlighted on the Poco X2 as well.

We do not expect the POCO X2 to have a variant with 5G (at least not at the first launch), because if it would one, Poco would surely be already promoting it. On the other hand, POCO X2 will support all the bands worldwide.

Similarly, another difference we see is that the POCO X2 will have a RealityFlow screen, while that technology is not mentioned in the Redmi K30. Even so, we do not believe that the screens of these phones are very different since they have the same size of 6.67 inches and refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Price Of the Phone

Poco X2 price

If the report posted by Hindustan Times is anything to go by, the POCO X2 (in its version of 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage) will be priced at Rs 18999. Poco X2 in all likelihood would be going up against the Realme X2 which comes with Snapdragon 730G priced at around 16k and Poco X2 being a direct rival of Realme X2 is expected to be around the same price.

However, there’s no official word on pricing and once we hit February 4 we will have all the details coming in from the official announcement.
